Getting up early is essential as at 7am nearly everything is already over. As the town has one of the most important fish markets west of Malaga, visiting the early spectacle will well be worth it. Travellers who are more interested in the history of the town can go for a walk and discover the several old buildings that can be found in the centre. Probably the best way of getting to know the town is on foot. Therefore, should you have come with a car; you can park it in the garage by the “Paseo Marítimo” – the promenade – to start your tour from the Calle Real. Shortly after you have started strolling along the pedestrian road you will reach the Calle Terraza where a charming café can be found. This is one of the most popular places in the town not only because of its location but also because of the pieces of history that can be found inside the café. Old pictures as well as new ones decorate the walls and allow guests to picture how the town looked like decades ago.
Estepona is full of sights and highlights. The Plaza de las Fores, the town hall, the market, the Casa de la Cultura, the Clock Tower and the Castle of San Luis are only some of them. Travellers who are not as much interested in the town itself but rather its location can enjoy several wonderful beaches as well as unspoilt nature and wonderful landscapes.
